We’re Derrick and Allison
Hedstrom, a husband-and-wife
team, and Harmony is our family
business. Harmony Construction builds and renovates homes. Harmony Homes and Properties helps people buy and sell them. Between the two, we can walk with you from the first idea to the front door and beyond.

Derrick leads our construction side, with over 30 years of experience in renovation and remodeling across all the trades. From kitchen and bath updates to full-home renovations and additions, he handles the work from start to finish. He cares about the details most people never notice, like straight lines, solid framing, and clean finish work, because he knows you’ll live with them every day.

Allison works alongside Derrick on all of our projects and is also a licensed realtor. She gives clients honest advice, whether they’re buying their first home, selling the one they’ve outgrown, or deciding whether to renovate or move.

Having a builder and a realtor under one roof gives our clients an advantage most people don’t get. Derrick knows what it takes to do the work right, and Allison knows which updates add real value. You get honest advice from both sides of the table, and a team that’s invested in your home turning out well.

We named our company Harmony because that’s what we want for every client: a process where everything fits together, the communication is clear, and there are no surprises. We show up when we say we will, we treat your home like our own. We listen to your ideas, and we make them a reality.

We live in Grand Rapids Michigan and welcome destination projects throughout the state. Most of our business comes from neighbors, friends, and referrals. We’d love to meet you.
